Fagner Buzinhani

GoJuu

Fagner Bratfisch Buzinhani is a leading reference for traditional Japanese cuisine in Portugal.

Born in Brazil, he began his career in hotels before discovering his true vocation. In Portugal, he immersed himself in traditional Japanese gastronomy under the guidance of the late itamae Takashi Yoshitake, legendary chef and owner of Aya—one of Portugal's first authentic Japanese restaurants. Fagner further refined his craft at Kampai, working with premium ingredients from the Azores.

In February 2015, he founded GoJuu as Executive Chef, creating a restaurant dedicated to honoring Master Yoshitake's legacy. His philosophy champions simple, pure cuisine that respects seasonal products and traditional techniques. A decade since opening, GoJuu—under Fagner san's leadership—stands among Portugal's most respected destinations for authentic Japanese dining.
