Marlene Vieira
Chef Marlene Vieira is a powerful voice in Portuguese gastronomy, dedicated to creatively reinterpreting and elevating traditional cuisine through seasonal ingredients and continuous learning.
Connected to the kitchen since age 12, she trained in luxury hotels in Portugal and New York, collaborating with renowned chefs Luís Baena, Jerónimo Ferreira, and Ricardo Costa. In 2012, she launched her career as head chef with Avenue and a corner at Time Out Market.
She is now executive chef and owner of three distinct restaurants united by Portuguese flavours: Marlene Vieira at Time Out Market (traditional cuisine), Zunzum (gastrobar), and Marlene (fine-dining gastronomic restaurant).
A published author of several cookbooks, she has appeared on Chefs Academy, MasterChef, and Cozinha de Chef, sharing her knowledge with a wide audience while remaining rooted in tradition and excellence.
