Rodolfo Lavrador

CURA

Chef Rodolfo Lavrador is the Head Chef of CURA, the Michelin-starred signature restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon, appointed to the role in 2025.

His path to the kitchen was unconventional. Raised in a legal family, he attended law school but the pull of gastronomy proved stronger. He studied in New York and launched his career at Agern, a Michelin-starred Scandinavian restaurant in Grand Central Terminal, followed by Mãos in London. Returning to Lisbon, he led Oficio before joining CURA as Sous Chef in 2022.

At CURA, he champions sustainability through careful ingredient selection and minimal waste, maintaining close relationships with small farms and local artisans. His cuisine captures the essence of Portuguese tradition—familiar scents and flavours—elevated through new ingredients and unexpected techniques.

For dinner, I highly recommend Fifty Seconds—their menu is incredible and packed with flavor.
Dinner spot: YOSŌ, a Michelin-starred omakase, has great sushi.
Prado offers both tasting menus and à la carte. The Iberian pork with cabbage as a main is always incredible—and so is the wine list.
Breakfast at Do Beco has really good energy. Fantastic croissant and pain suisse, plus really good egg dishes as well.
