Bar Toca da Raposa
Tucked away on a quiet street in Chiado, Toca da Raposa is one of Lisbon's most inventive and intimate cocktail destinations. Behind an unassuming door lies a moody, dimly lit space where stone walls, velvet seating, and a stunning pink limestone bar—carved from a single block—set the stage for an evening of discovery .
Founded by Constança Cordeiro, the bar champions sustainability and seasonality . Ingredients are often foraged from the forests outside Lisbon, fruits transformed into natural liqueurs, and herbs distilled in-house. The team even distills its own alcohol on site .
The cocktail menu is pure creativity: a playful, hand-drawn list featuring 10 to 14 signature drinks, each named after an animal . Flavours are bold, layered, and utterly original—from the savoury‑umami complexity of the T‑Rex 2.0 (mezcal, kimchi, pineapple) to the surprising balance of the Bonobo (rum, banana, cedar) . The menu shifts with the seasons, reflecting nature's changing palette .
The bar itself is designed for connection. With no traditional backbar in sight, the focus is entirely on the cocktails and the interaction with passionate bartenders who eagerly share the stories behind each creation . A concise selection of craft beers and organic wines complements the drinks, alongside thoughtfully chosen snacks .
