Henrique Sá Pessoa
Chef Henrique Sá Pessoa is one of Portugal's most acclaimed culinary figures, holding two Michelin Stars for his renowned restaurant Alma in Lisbon.
Born in Lisbon in 1976, he discovered his passion for cooking during a student exchange in the United States, which led him to study at Le Cordon Bleu. His international career spans renowned kitchens including Sheraton on the Park in Sydney and Sheraton Park Lane in London.
Returning to Portugal, he accumulated numerous accolades: Chef of the Year 2005, GQ Men of the Year 2007, and the Academia de Gastronomia Portuguesa's "Arte da Cozinha" prize. In 2009, he opened his first solo project, Alma. After relocating to Chiado in 2015, Alma earned its first Michelin star in 2016 and a second in 2018.
Ranked 70th in The Best Chef Awards 2022, he is preparing to open his most ambitious project yet in 2026: Henrique Sá Pessoa Restaurante.
